The plan for a year lies in spring. On March 2, a delegation from China-Israel Jizhi (Guangzhou) Technology Co., Ltd. visited the unmanned farm experimental base of the team of Academician Luo Xiwen of South China Agricultural University in Zengcheng District, Guangzhou.



Academician Luo Xiwen of the Chinese Academy of Engineering led a delegation from China-Israel Jizhi Technology to visit the unmanned farm base.




The unmanned farm project is funded by the national key research and development plan "Intelligent Agricultural Machinery and Equipment" special project, "Unmanned Farm Key Technology Integration and Application Demonstration", and Guangdong Province key field research and development plan project "Unmanned Farm Key Technology Integration and Application Demonstration" The research results of rice production have achieved the goal of unmanned mechanized operations in the entire process of rice cultivation, planting, field management and harvesting.

Unmanned farms are a production method of smart agriculture and a way to realize smart agriculture.


There are five characteristics of unmanned farms:

 

The first is the full coverage of the cultivation, management, and harvesting production links, that is, covering the various links of tillage, planting, field management (water, fertilizer, medicine) and harvest in crop production.


Second, the field transfer operation of the hangar is fully automatic, that is, the agricultural machinery is automatically transferred from the hangar to the field, and automatically returns to the hangar after the field operation is completed.

 

The third is automatic obstacle avoidance and abnormal parking to ensure safety, that is, automatic obstacle avoidance can be realized during the transfer and operation of agricultural machinery, and automatic parking can be performed in abnormal situations to ensure safety.


The fourth is the real-time full monitoring of the crop production process, that is, the real-time monitoring of the growth and the situation of diseases, insects and weeds in the crop production process.


Fifth, intelligent decision-making and precise operations are completely unmanned, that is, they can make timely decisions based on the growth of crops and the conditions of diseases, pests and weeds and automatically perform precise operations, including precise irrigation, precise fertilization, and precise pesticide application.


The unmanned farm mainly relies on the support of three major technologies: biotechnology, intelligent agricultural machinery and information technology.


Biotechnology mainly provides varieties and cultivation modes suitable for mechanized operations for unmanned farm production; intelligent agricultural machinery mainly provides intelligent perception, intelligent navigation, intelligent operation (precision operation) and intelligent management for unmanned farm production; information technology mainly provides unmanned farm production Production information acquisition, transmission and processing, agricultural machinery navigation and automatic operations, agricultural machinery remote operation and maintenance management provide support.


Automatic navigation operation technology of agricultural machinery is the key technology of unmanned farms, which can significantly improve labor productivity, resource utilization rate and land output rate. Since 2004, the team of Academician Xiwen Luo of South China Agricultural University has carried out research on the key technologies of agricultural machinery navigation and automatic operation, breaking through navigation positioning, path tracking, electro-hydraulic steering, motor steering, and speed-by-wire control, Machine control, automatic obstacle avoidance, master-slave navigation, vehicle terminal and system integration and other ten key technologies.
